Isolation

by Samuel E. Warren Jr.

Isolation is one of the dumbest ideas of the human race.

You have those times in Life where you think you "Want" to be "Isolated" from your fellow humans.

You don’t.

What you want is time to step back, take a breather, refocus your mind and "Get Back In Your Life."

Isolation is not possible in "Your Life" on a day to day local basis or even in your day to day role as a Citizen Of Planet Earth.

Once you emerge from the womb, You give up "The Isolation Of Your Life."

However, even the isolation in the womb is a fantasy because the emerging child is "Connected" to the mother. Once you emerge from the womb, You are truly "Connected" to the world.

I find the comments of news stories humorous whenever they suggest that the United States should be "Isolated" or revert to the old policies of "Isolationism" because the idea "NEVER WORKS."

As a person, you can find ways to "Shut Yourself Away From The World" for a few hours or a few days.

If you dare, you can shut off your cellphone.

I have had my moments of "Privacy."

Once I even took a few days military leave just to take a "Breather" from the Normal Daily Human Rat Race. I stocked up on coffee and cigarettes. I was in my artistic phase and wanted the time to work on my own comic book idea.

I had my white, bond paper, my Number 2 lead pencils, ruler, protractor and my imagination. I sat in my off base apartment and "drawed" for a couple of weeks. I had a roommate, so I wasn’t completely alone. However, he had a job, so he was gone, during the days.

After a few days, I began to experience "Cabin Fever." I had separated myself from the world. Yet, it seemed like the world was closing in on me.

I had become a monastic monk in Bossier City, Louisiana and wasn’t even watching TV or the evening news.

In ’82, we humans still had a "Caveman Culture" because computers were still several hundred dollars for the "Game Geeks" and the aspiring bureaucratic administrators of the world.

Telephones were still devices that sat on a piece of furniture. In movies, you see rich characters out in LA, who have their "Car Phones", but most of the telephones were in homes, phone booths and office buildings around the planet.

The Grandparents Of The Cellphone, Facebook And Twitter Generations were usually ham radio station operators or truckers, who loved their "Citizen’s Band radio." America’s truckers, who roll the 18-wheel semi tractor trailers across the nation from coast to coast had their "CBs."

The fad spread and the "Good Ole Boys Of America" would hang a CB beneath their dash in their farm pickups and their hunting pickups and CBs were "The Rage" until the car phones evolved and ended the market.

Isolation, as a person was easier to carry out in ’82.

However, the idea of "Isolation" is stupid because you should never "Unplug From Your Life", regardless of the reason. Life is "Too Precious." Life is "Too Short."

Throughout US History, Americans tend to "Freak Out" and call for the United States to revert to the stupid policy of "Isolationism."

In World War I, Americans sat on the continent, while the "World Burned." Once the oceanliner"Luisitania" was sunk at sea; Americans realized, "You Can Not Hide From War." War will find you.

In World War II, Americans sat on the real estate. The World Bleeds And Burns. Egomaniac Emperor Hirohito Of Japan crossed the line — "He Stabbed America In The Back."

Pearl Harbor was "An Act Of Cowardice Carried Out On The Orders Of A Half-Blind, Runt Madman." It happened on a Sunday, when that era of Americans would be in church.

America’s World War I policy of "Isolationism" failed. The end result is America had to play "Catch Up" and people had to make sacrifices to attempt to enjoy their day to day lives.

America’s World War II policy of "Isolationism" failed. The end result was Americans were really behind the power curve and had to play "Catch Up" to hope they would survive the War.

For those Americans who are naive enough to believe "The United States Of America Can Ever Be ’Isolated’ From International Affairs", here, is a piece of advice: "Wise Up."

The United States land mass is too large to be overlooked. America has always been a "Nation Of Immigrants", so to believe that immigrant Americans are going to turn their backs while their former homelands are in flames is just silly.

Even Americans, who emerge from the womb on a real estate location in the United States cannot afford to ignore International Affairs. Granted, the old Cold War rhetoric of a Chinese tank rolling through San Francisco may not seem logical in the 21st Century.

The old Cold War rhetoric of Soviet troops from Moscow parachuting into pastures in Stone County, Missouri may not seem that realistic in the 21st Century.

The reality is technology has made the planet smaller.

The irony is people don’t really "Talk" or communicate with one another anymore because the blurbs encouraged by social media plays on people’s busy schedules and the cliche mentality of people.

We "Talk" or "Text" on cellphones, but those communications are more like "Slogan Slinging" and not real conversations.

The Facebook and Twitter "blurbs" are essentially "Sophisticated Cave Man Grunts" that allow us to pretend we are "Connected" with the people around us and our world.

In the ’50s,60s,70s, and 80s, people would sit at kitchen tables, in their living rooms or at a bar and cuss and discuss the affairs of the world. Usually the conversations would pass time and provide an exchange of ideas. Sometimes the conversations might get "emotional" or "heated", but you always came away with an outlook, a viewpoint and a feeling that other people also cared about life on the planet.

Now, people "Slogan Sling" cliches on facebook, twitter and "Pretend" they are communicating with one another.

As a Citizen Of Planet Earth, you can look forward to "Future Isolation" in a graveyard plot with a headstone. Then, again, since you might be buried next to someone else — you can not even expect "Isolation" in the graveyard.

As a Citizen Of Planet Earth, forget the "Isolation" silliness and enjoy your life.

As a Citizen Of Planet Earth, realize that it is "Stupid" to believe that international affairs going on in The Capitols Of The World each morning have an effect on your life, directly or indirectly.

The History Of The Nations Of The World point out that "War Is The Way Of The World." Sooner or later, a nation or nations resort to War.

Don’t kid yourself. War isn’t going away.

You can whine that the United States Government should not care about the state of War in Syria. You might have a valid point. However, the inevitable outcome of the Syrian Civil War will affect the international affairs of the United States.

You can get upset that the United States Government has taken a position on Crimea and the Ukraine, but the actions by Russia will affect American policy, which always manages to translate into domestic events that can impact the economy in a positive or negative way.

The US Government is not going to step away from international affairs because paranoid Americans want to believe that stepping back from global affairs will improve the local economy.

Uncle Sam refuses to do "Isolation" because nations that become "Isolated", eventually become the real estate of another country.

Pay attention to the news each day, so that when the time comes that War is the reality, you will be prepared to survive.

Isolation does not work.

Isolation does not work for nations.

Isolation will not work for You. Go ahead, take the risk: Enjoy your life.

Editor’s Note: Facebook Family and Friends, I got an email from a reporter friend about an article that will seize your emotions. If you have an iota of humanity, compassion or kids — then, you SHOULD read the email that I posted on my "Sam I Am Blog" because it looks at what a Filipina reporter witnesses as the differences in two cultures in response to a National Tragedy. The focus of the article begins with the sinking of the South Korean ferry and the "teenage lives" lost in the tragedy.

Shame
SKETCHES By Ana Marie Pamintuan (The Philippine Star) | Updated May 2, 2014 – 12:00am

A day after a ferry carrying hundreds of high school students sank on its way to a resort island in South Korea, my lunch meeting with a Korean expat was canceled.
Earlier this week a Korean told me why: their entire nation is mourning for the dead and missing in the sinking of the ferry Sewol, and people consider it inappropriate to enjoy fine meals or entertain in restaurants. Concerts and other fun activities have also been canceled.
While business is down in South Korea as a result, the situation is expected to persist as the retrieval of bodies moves slowly. Retrieval has been difficult, I was told, because of an unusually rapid tidal current or stream at the site that can move at around 20 kilometers per hour, compounded by stormy weather and icy waters.
The Koreans are considering raising the ferry from the seabed, but the logistics are daunting particularly because of that rapid stream, even for a nation that is home to three of the world’s largest shipbuilding companies (Hyundai, Samsung and Hanjin heavy industries).
“We are so ashamed,” a Korean expat lamented to me recently, citing the behavior of the ship crew, their government’s response and the regulatory failure that contributed to the tragedy. The expat said it is a painful learning experience for Koreans.
For a number of Pinoys, on the other hand, the Korean government’s response is impressive enough along with the nationwide mourning and public expressions of remorse and shame over one maritime accident.
South Korea’s prime minister apologized and resigned over the disaster, while the vice principal of the students’ high school, who was rescued from the ferry, was found hanging with his belt from a tree near the school gym.
The fisheries minister and coastguard chief spent an entire night with angry parents in a tent on the beach explaining their agencies’ responses to the disaster. The deputy coastguard chief was also taken to the tent from his temporary office by irate relatives of the victims.
President Park Geun-hye herself, her popularity sagging in the wake of the accident, has publicly apologized for her government’s “insufficient first response” and failure to curb the regulatory “evils” that contributed to the disaster.
Some reports said the addition of cabins on several decks to accommodate more passengers made the 20-year-old ferry unstable in the powerful current. The ship, which carried 476 people, was reportedly overloaded.
The ferry captain – among the first to be rescued by responding coastguard personnel – and 14 of his crew have been arrested. The billionaire owner of the company that operated the ship is under investigation. The offices of his company and its affiliates were raided and documents confiscated as a probe got underway on the group’s finances.
Maritime regulators are also under investigation not only for administrative lapses but also for possible corruption. There is suspicion that regulators colluded with the company for the modifications that made the vessel top-heavy and unstable.
Compare this with what happens when a ferry sinks in our country. When the ferry Doña Paz collided with the oil tanker Vector off Marinduque on Dec. 20, 1987, it took 16 hours for rescuers to arrive, by which time most of the passengers and crew had drowned, died in the explosion and fire from the cargo of gasoline and other petroleum products on the Vector, or devoured by sharks in Tablas Strait.
Because of the inaccurate ship manifest, there is still no verified number of the dead and missing, estimated at 4,386.
It took more than a decade for the official probe to be completed, with Doña Paz owner Sulpicio Lines and Caltex Philippines, which chartered the Vector, absolved of liability. The Vector was found at fault and ordered to indemnify the victims.
I don’t remember anyone, however, being arrested, tried in court or publicly apologizing for the tragedy, considered the world’s worst peacetime maritime disaster. No maritime or regulatory official was punished, suspended or fired. No one resigned, much less committed suicide.
We can argue that Korean society is different, but this is not only a cultural thing. Our problem is also systemic. The Doña Paz disaster failed to result in dramatic reforms in our maritime industry. After the collision, we still saw deadly maritime accidents almost every year, in fair weather or foul, with several of the ships also owned by Sulpicio Lines.
The deep sense of shame can be found in other societies. Yesterday in California, for example, Mike D’Antoni quit as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers after two seasons of unimpressive performance by the team.
In our country, those in charge of sports development have clung to their posts through many years of unimpressive performance by Philippines athletes, including their worst ever in the Southeast Asian Games.
All natural disasters here are dismissed as acts of God, with no one taking responsibility for failing to mitigate the impact, such as by preventing illegal logging.
In any disaster, the immediate response is to pass the buck, to deny responsibility. Remember what happened in the Rizal Park hostage mess. In the end it was an official who wasn’t even there during the fiasco, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, who had to apologize to Hong Kong for the deaths of their tourists.
Crooks in government, even when presented with incontrovertible evidence of wrongdoing, will never admit it all the way to their grave, and will be sorry only that they got caught.
Suicide? Homicide is more likely; woe to whistle-blowers.
Shame? Not in this society. Some of the individuals accused of plunder (plus an ex-convict) and other high crimes even hobnobbed with US President Barack Obama at a pricey Malacañang dinner paid for by Pinoy taxpayers.
In our society, thieves and those responsible for public misery never say sorry or quit. They aspire for high office, and they often win.

The Gadget” is the informal nickname of the first nuclear test explosion of the Manhattan Project conducted by the United States Army in the Jornada del Muerto desert about 35 miles southeast of Socorro, New Mexico, at the new White Sands Proving Ground, which incorporated the Alamogordo Bombing and Gunnery Range. In 2013, the site is now the White Sands Missile Range. The photograph was taken by Jack W. Wednesday, August 14, 2013 – People should dance in the streets. Schools should be closed. People should be enraptured in song. Ticker tape should fall like snow out of city windows around the world. Children should be laughing, running and playing in the street.

The World should “Take The Day Off And Celebrate ! ”

Throughout the globe – The Party should spread. Fireworks should explode in the skies overhead. People should dance, laugh, sing and celebrate.

The celebration should have such energy that it lasts throughout the week and the rest of the month. Party Hardy !

68 Years ago today, World War II ended !

Japan announced “Unconditional Surrender.” Guns went silent.

Alas, today, news telecasts might mention the fact. Newspapers might publish an article. A story might be published on the Internet to recognize The 68th Anniversary Of The End Of World War II.

A history professor at a university might remind her class or deliver a lecture about today’s date in World War II.

A military historian might take a World War II history book off the shelf and decide to observe today’s anniversary by clarification of some points in his research of the events that he plans for a lecture later in the week to veterans or students at a War College or an Air Command and Staff College.

A museum curator might pause at a World War II exhibit and take a moment to shine the collar brass on the uniform of the mannequin on display.

The museum curator she might even take a moment to remember her grandfather and grandmother’s stories about World War II and decide that she should get a cloth and polish up some of the medals on display.

The majority of The Citizens Of The World, if they even hear the news item, will simply shrug it off as “Ancient History.” People will brush off the anniversary as, “It’s history.”

The Importance Of World War II is, as of August 14, 2013, World War II still remains “The Deadliest Conflict In Human History !” More than 30 Nations Of The World were in A Total State Of War. Each sunrise meant more Death and Devastation.

The horrific cost of lives and property in World War II has determined the agenda for every War since. Nations fight “Conventional Wars”, in the belief, that No Nation will “Unleash Their Nuclear Arsenal” to end a War. To date, the belief has held, but, each new sun rise brings a challenge to The Nations Of The World.

The importance of War is The Fact that War is inevitable because human nature of individual humans does not change. The Lesson Of War is it is a force that will continue to end human lives and devastate the planet as long as people can not learn to live together.

Tuesday, August 14,1945 – President Of The United States Of America Harry S. Truman announces that Japan has surrendered unconditionally, ending World War II.

Wednesday, August 15,1945 – In Japan, news of The End Of The War causes people to take to the street. They are not in the mood to celebrate. They Lost. Riots break out.

The Kyūjō Incident is a last ditch effort by more than 1,000 Japanese Imperial Army soldiers to storm the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and stage a coup d’ ‘etat. They wanted to get the Imperial Proclamation and stop its transmission to the Allies. Imperial Army General Shizuichi Tanaka, Eastern District Army commander, responsible for the Tokyo and Yokohama area, at dawn, August 15, 1945, went to the Imperial Palace and ordered the soldiers to return to their barracks, which they did.

Major Kenji Hatanaka, Military Affairs Section, Japanese Ministry of War, is considered the mastermind of the coup. He led forces into The Imperial Palace to rummage for the Imperial Proclamation surrender recording. The Emperor was kept under “house arrest.”

Unable to locate the recording, Major Hatanaka and some of his troops went to the NHK Studios to attempt to prevent the surrender broadcast and get some air time to explain his actions at staging the coup. His message was not broadcast and his contingent left the studios. By 8 am., the coup was over.

The surrender speech had been recorded on a phonograph record and smuggled out of the palace in a laundry basket of women’s underwear.

Tuesday, August 14,1945 – News of the end of the War spreads through the air thanks to radio. Around the globe, on both sides of The International Date Line, celebrations break out.

New York City’s Time Square erupts in celebration and a photographer snaps a photograph of a happy sailor, who grabs a woman and kisses her.

America Cuts Loose” and the news causes people to celebrate. Half-a-decade of global conflict has ended. Revelry erupts.

Kisses and hugs are given out. Booze flows. Fists also get thrown. But, the celebrations across America are proof that citizens can return to their Lives and plan for the future. They can hug their kids and hope someday to have grand kids.

The War Is Over !

Back To The Present – Wednesday, August 14, 2013 –

The 68th Anniversary Of The End Of World War II will pass without much fanfare around the world because as time passes people move on with their lives and even monumental events of previous generations rest in scrapbooks, history books and photo albums to gather dust.

Today is Victory in Japan Day !

The day is also known as Victory over Japan Day, and Victory in the Pacific Day, and the common initials are V-J Day, or V-P Day.

The name chosen by The Allies for the day on which Japan surrenders, essentially ending World War II. The term V-J Day or V-P Day is applied to two days in August: August 14 and August 15.

The surrender announcement was broadcast on the afternoon of August 15, 1945, in Japan. The International Date Line and, time zone differences, means the announcement filled the airwaves August 14, 1945,when it was announced in the United States and the rest of the Americas and Eastern Pacific Islands.

The End of World War II proves The Ancient Lesson Of Warfare, which is you have to destroy your enemy.

The Allies had to destroy the munitions, equipment and manpower to fight the War. The Allies had to eliminate the motivational Will of the enemy to fight the War. “The Enemy” has to be so severely devastated they no longer have the ability to fight the War.

The Japanese Navy was the third largest navy in the world by 1920, behind the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy and the United States Navy.

In 1941, the Imperial Japanese Army had 51 divisions and a total of 1,700,000 men. By 1945, there were 5.5 million men in the Imperial Japanese Army.

In 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy possessed 10 battleships, 10 aircraft carriers, 38 cruisers (heavy and light), 112 destroyers, 65 submarines, and various auxiliary ships

The Imperial Japanese Navy started the War In The Pacific with the largest and most modern carrier fleet in the world at that time.

The most varied fleet of submarines of World War II were underway with the Imperial Japanese Navy. The submarines included Kaiten, the manned torpedoes, the Kohytoeki and Kairyu midget submarines and medium-range submarines, the purpose-built supply submarines, for use by the Imperial Japanese Army, and the long-range fleet submarines, many of which carried aircraft.

Three submarines with the highest submerged speeds of the conflict were built but never put to sea, during World War II.

The Senotku I-400 submarine, World War II’s largest submarine did put to sea. The crew of 144 men sailed the 400 foot-long submarine, which could launch three sea planes. The Senotku surrendered to the crew of a United States Navy destroyer.

The IJN submarines were equipped with the most advanced torpedo of the conflict, the Type 95 torpedo.

By the end of World War II, the majority of the world’s third largest navy rested at the bottom of the world’s oceans. However, there were still at least 2,000,000 men under arms and 3,000 aircraft on the mainland of Japan.

The first atomic bomb was named “Thin Man” by Robert Serber for the Dashiell Hammett detective novel and series of movies of the same name. Serber named all three bombs.

Little Boy” got it’s name from the design shape to contrast it from “Thin Man.” “Little Boy” fell on Hiroshima, it was the first target due to its military and industrial values. Hiroshima was the home of the Japanese 5th Division and the 2nd Army Headquarters.

War planners would of looked at Hiroshima Bay on the map to consider Hiroshima a port in southern Japan. War planners would of noticed that the mountains around the city should contain the A-bomb blast and increase the level of destruction.

The Kokura Arsenal in Kokura, which produced bayonets, rifles and other war equipment was the designated target of the second nuclear bombing mission, but cloud cover over the target area, meant the aircraft would proceed to the secondary target site : Nagasaki.

Fat Man” the second atomic bomb fell on Nagasaki, an important sea port in southern Japan.

Fat Man”, the second atomic bomb was named after Sydney Greenstreets’s character in “The Maltese Falcon” from the Dashiell Hammett novel. “Fat Man” was the second plutonium atomic bomb the first “The Gadget” had been detonated in a July 16,1945 test, near Alamagordo, New Mexico.

Fat Man” destroyed the Mitsubishi Steel and Arms Works and the Mitsubishi-Urakami Torpedo Works in Nagasaki. Torpedoes used in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii had been built in the Nagasaki torpedo plant.

World War II as “The Deadliest Conflict In Human History” reminds people that War destroys lives, changes the terrain and infrastructure of nations, and creates issues that will irradiate for years, decades and centuries. The Nuclear Explosions Of World War II demonstrated “The Power” that can be used to end a War.

Victory In Japan Day meant that the hostilities had stopped and people took to the streets to riot or celebrate. The Formal Surrender of Japan to The Allies would occur Sunday,September 2, 1945 aboard the United States Navy’s battleship, USS Missouri.

There have been Wars and all types of military actions throughout the globe since V-J Day and the formal surrender. Since humanity relies on War to settle disputes there will be more Wars.

The World War II Lesson that has stood the test of time, so far, is No Nation is currently willing to detonate a Nuclear Weapon in War.

I write.

I love to write.

I write something almost everyday.

What To Write

The challenge of being a writer is knowing that people will read what you write.

Even after you “Officially Retire” as a writer, you may still want to write and know that you have readers.

A blog is an outlet for a writer. Of course, there are so many blogs in cyberspace that a writer has to try to figure out how to attract and keep readers.

I remember a rule from an English Creative Writing Class in Galena High School: “Write About What You Know.”

When you are 13 to 16, you really do know more than you think you do. You just have to figure out how to put the words on paper to interest the reader.

Naturally, when you are 57, you have a lot more “Life Experiences” to write about than when you were 13. I sit at a keyboard and the words flow. I am blessed because I have never really had a problem with “Writer’s Block.”

I have been away from the blog for a few months. The problem was not the writing or the words. The problem was “The Writer.”

Readers’ Comments

I have never wanted my blog to be a “Dear Diary” that focused on the mundane routine of Life like, “I got out of bed today. Nothing really noteworthy happened.”

I have always aspired to try and find issues to write about that challenge my readers. I read the comment forms on my blog. The comment forms seemed more and more to be robotic software trying to carry out it’s own “Sell You Something” agenda. I periodically go through and delete the obvious email spam.

I wasn’t getting feedback and comments from readers that often. March 2013 arrived, which meant the “kids” my nieces and nephews would be out of school.

School Is Out For The Summer”

School Is Out For The Summer” takes on a different meaning in The Republic Of The Philippines than in the United States.

The kids were out of school. It seemed a perfect time to “Go On Holiday.”

I grew up on a farm in the United States in The Ozarks. The idea of a vacation or a holiday is just not a concept that always translates that well to my mind.

Farming is a 24-hour a day job that lasts seven days a week. Forget taking off The Fourth Of July,Halloween,Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Livestock does not come with calendars, cattle, horses, hogs, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats all expect to eat. Even the humans, regardless of the holiday or the day of the week, still expect to eat.

On a farm, Mother Nature is always The Girl Next Door and she seldom cooperates with your wishes. When you need rain; you will get a drought. When you need a dry spell; you will get a monsoon of rain.

The Extremes” Of Farm Life

Since the constant fluctuation of temperatures never seem to be enough for Mother Nature you can count on “The Extremes” in the United States. The United States is a “temperate climate”, which means we have four seasons, but temperatures and weather conditions can always be in “The Extremes”, during the season.

The four seasons often have The Extremes. If you expect a comfortable summer; summer will go in the record books as “One Of The Hottest Summers On Record. If you expect a mild winter; winter will break all the records and be “One Of The Coldest Winters In History.

In Farming, the weather NEVER cooperates. The chores on a farm are not something you can do in a few minutes and get on with your day. Farming is hard work.

In Missouri, by the end of the 20th Century, small family farmers had to have “public jobs” just to make “ends meet” and to be able to “earn a living.”

On Leave

Before I enlisted in the United States Air Force, the recruiter told me about “Leave.” I would get “30 days a year.” The word, “Leave”, meant I would be “On Vacation” for 30 days every year with pay. It sounded like a great deal. It was.

However, at the time, there were just a couple of items, the recruiter kind of overlooked explaining in detail. First, it is not an absolute guarantee.

If the United States is at War – you might not be going “On Leave”, during that year.

Second, you have to request the dates you want. The Needs Of The Mission always come first. If you can get the dates you want, then, you get them. However, you may not always get the dates you want.

The military, like the civilian world, realizes everyone “Needs Time Off”, so vacations are scheduled. No one ever explains the procedures to wide-eyed kids ready to enlist.

The Needs Of The Mission. . .”

Third, “30 Days Paid Vacation Every Year” looks good on paper. Uncle was “True” to his word. I could get my “30 Days.” However, there was no guarantee all those days would be together as in getting “A Month Off From Work.” Sometimes you might get a week here and two weeks there. At the end of the year, you could sit down with your calendar and pencil and Uncle had always kept his word.

The Magic Phrase in The United States Armed Forces at the time was : “The Needs Of The Mission Come First.”

Since I served in the United States Air Force The Magic Phrase was: “The Needs Of The United States Air Force Comes First.” And, of course, the word, “Needs”, was simply another way of saying, “Mission.” The Mission Of The United States Air Force Comes First.”

Regardless, Uncle Sam, also known as, The United States Government did their best to make sure I got my “30 Days Leave” a year; if I wanted it.

I came from a family of “Workaholics”, so the concept of, “Vacation” was always more the idea of “A Working Vacation” or “A Vacation On The Road.”

As Sam The Senior Citizen Writer, the idea of “A Vacation” is still not something I can relate to or even really appreciate.

I used “The Vacation Time” to back away from the keyboard. I did not write articles to publish for my blog.

Printer’s Ink

However, my calling in life was, “News.” I worked as a reporter and editor for several United States Air Force newspapers. Printer’s ink has always flowed in my blood.

On duty, Uncle Sam spent a tremendous effort to teach us the specifics of journalism from punctuation and grammar to the ethics of “Objectiveness.”

A Military Reporter like a Civilian Reporter was suppose to be an independent and impartial observer, who collected the facts and wrote a balanced story, which offered both sides of the story to allow the reader to decide.

The Editorial Page

On duty, we were taught never to “Slant” a story. “Reporters do not have opinions,” would state the numerous editors time and again through the years.

Opinions, Comments, Commentary are all saved for The Editorial page. If you have an opinion, a comment, a commentary, a personal view on an issue or situation, then, you write an Editorial for The Editorial Page.

In retirement, I am still a newsman, which means I keep up and read the news.

However, since I am retired – My Opinions are my own. I often express my opinion in print.

The Opinion Man

My favorite news source is Yahoo. My Yahoo News Page lists The Top Stories, Yahoo News, ABC News, Associated Press and Reuters. I glance at the headlines and select stories to read.

I have always been “A Man With An Opinion.”

I read a story and being the emotional person that I have always been – I always have an opinion.

I go to the Comments section of Yahoo News and leave my opinion in the form of a Comment. To find my Comments simply look for the names: Sergeant Sam or Samuel Warren in the Comments section.

Life has taught me when you Live long enough You will have an opinion on everything.

I have Lived past the Half-Century Mark, so I definitely have an opinion on every issue imaginable

I choose my words carefully to get my point across. I am not a “Politically Correct Person”. I am well past the silly stage of “Political Correctness” in my Life; so I don’t play the silly word game.

I do not pull punches with my comments. I write what I believe. I usually write like I talk.

Country Boy Commentary

I am a proud country boy. Thus, I tend to use the colorful expressions of The Ozarks often in comments and editorials. The expression, “I told them how the cow ate the cabbage”, means the speaker was angry, mad and upset to the point that he opened his mouth and let the words fly.

How the cow ate the cabbage”, is just one example of an Ozarks expressions that has a colorful way of getting to the heart of the matter to express an issue.

Politics

I find Politics invigorates. It is a challenge to bring people together on a variety of different social issues. The goal is to get people to reach a working compromise on an issue for a domestic or foreign policy.

Still, I have little use for professional politicians. Professional politicians try to wiggle around an issue to arrive at a solution.

DEMOCRAT MULE PIN FACE LEFTWhen it comes to American Political Parties – I am a Democrat.

I grew up in Stone County, Missouri, in The Ozarks, which is one of The Most Devout And Hardcore Strongholds of Republican Politics in The United States.

In my opinion,The Grand Old Party is conservative to the extreme and cements Christianity into the approach to changing social issues. I grew up exposed to that stringent political philosophy in the southwest Missouri Ozarks.

Since my twenties I have worked in political campaigns against America’s “Greedy Old Politicians” and their problematic, pilgrim, political party platforms.

I have no use for Republicans.  REPUBLICAN ELEPHANT PIN_btn_gop

Religion

I have no use for Religion.

Religion is the Providence Of Fools – created by Fools and for Fools.

Some people have a Fear Of Death, so they seek some belief that when The Day Of Their Death comes – they will not cease to exist.

Instead of an intelligent person using their mind to reach a logical, rationale solution, some people do what centuries of people have done before them and turn to the flawed fairy tales of The World’s Old Major Religions.

The temptation of the insane and archaic prophecies by old dead foolish storyteller prophets seems to entice many people to believe.

Many people never seem to stop and question what it is the prophecy is asking them to believe in.

In Catholicism, Christianity and Protestant religions you are expected to believe in a ridiculous old dead Arab hippie criminal who destroyed business property. Jesus Christ The Bum, who trained as a carpenter, never worked a day in his life.

In Islam, you are expected to believe in an old dead Arab prophet, who could not use religion to unite The Arab World, so he proclaims on-going Holy Wars to destroy The World for Allah, who created The World.

Regardless of which silly faith of The World’s Old Major Religions that you fall victim to – you get to spend an Eternity with a Jealous, Hateful sadistic, psychotic, misogynistic entity, who really enjoys punishing people and destroying them for the fun of it.

Who gets to be The Martyr Today ?”

Religion is of Fools, by Fools and for the Fools, who are afraid to experience the reality of Life.

Thus, most of my Comments will be found in Politics and Religion.

For All The World To Read

I leave my opinions for all the world to read.

When you put your opinion out to the public; you can expect feedback. Not everyone will agree with you. The purpose though of putting out your opinion is to get people to think and express their own opinions.

At first leaving comments on Yahoo News was simply “Putting In My Two Cents”, but, now, it is an opportunity to get my ideas out there to The Readers Of The World. It is a daily task I enjoy.

Since I love to write, I will continue to write articles for my “Sam I Am Blog” and my “Samuel E. Warren Jr. The Prophet” blog.

However, I am not going to be as “deadline driven” as I have been in the past. I want to continue to inspire, motivate and challenge fellow readers on Yahoo News.

America’s Military Coup

of 1776

1016641_10151487213602765_1294104846_n

By Samuel E. Warren Jr.

Happy Birthday, America !

The Egyptian military’s ouster of President Mohamed Mursi is making American President Barrack Obama’s Administration in Washington D.C., nervous.

The controversy goes to “The Legality Of Language.”

In America, our “Rule Of Law” becomes so overwhelming that it automatically overrides our “Common Sense” and our careful approach to unfolding international situations. Already, Washington D.C., is sweating the semantics of the word, “Coup” and the legal ramifications of foreign policy, the U.S. Constitution and Congress.

All the lawyers in America, who routinely go on to become politicians and they all seem to forget, “No Law Is Chiseled In Stone” and the Law In America is always about “legal interpetation.” The United States Supreme Court exists to interpet “The Law” and if it is in accordance with The Constitution Of The United States Of America – “The Supreme Law Of The Land.”

On America’s Birthday, Washington D.C., leaders should be ashamed of themselves because, “We The People” is the only words that truly matter in a government that is, “of the people, by the people and for the people.”

America’s leaders, on her birthday, does not have the “Common Sense” to pick up a history book or a copy of the US Constitution and realize the supreme lesson of America is not word choice, but the dedication and commitment of her citizens to support the foundation and implementation of their government.

The People are The Key in any Government.

Americans — July 4, 1776 — The Continental Army was farmers, shopkeepers, merchants, rascals, rogues, farmhands, plow boys, idealists, dreamers, men looking for work and a paycheck.

General George Washington had received some frontier military training as Colonel Washington and maybe the French at some point helped to provide Washington, his commanders and troops some more practical in the field combat training.

None of the American Revolutionary War Generals were graduates of a War College. Washington’s soldiers were usually more concerned about getting the seeds in the ground that strategic military targets.

Washington’s soldiers pay sometimes was I.O.Us that the Continental Congress had to make good on.(More than 200 years and the US Congress still isn’t all that good about making sure the troops get a decent military paycheck)

Washington’s troops were home-grown rebel rousers, who had home court advantage because they knew the terrain and the weather, so their guerilla tactics would work against the professionally trained British military and the combat veterans who were the Hessian mercenaries.

Egypt’s military had the benefit of professional training and professional dedicated commanders, so they mobilized their forces and seized what was necessary to overthrow their "despot."

America’s Military Coup of 1776 did not have the luxury of driving tanks up to the Gates Of Buckingham Palace. They defeated British and Hessian forces on American soil.

Egypt points out they had a consensus of civilian and religious leaders that supported the military action. Not all of America’s Founding Fathers jumped at the idea to tell King George to "stick it in his ear." But, the deterioration of British and American colonial relations led to those men supporting General Washington.

America loves to point out how we are a civilian government, who gives orders to her military and it is true.

However, we sometimes forget The American Farmer, who became The American General, who became The First American President.

General Washington was a military man before he was a politician. Farmer Washington, had worked as a surveyor, he understood the terrain, and took his skills and put on the uniform to serve his country.

In the brouhaha of world events, we sometimes forget to try and appreciate the backgrounds of our leaders. Not all American presidents were lawyers, who became politicians to serve in The Oval Office.

American historians love to point out not all successful American military leaders made good presidents — however, the American historians fail to point out some of the civilian and lawyer bums who served as president had no right to even step in The Oval Office let alone sit behind the desk.

If the nation of Egypt is laying a foundation for Democracy, then, like the Americans they will face challenges and growth.

However, Egypt is an older nation than American. Egypt, Home Of The Pharoahs and The Pyramids has a rich history to draw upon to create working governmental institutions of their own design.

Americans on the subject of "foreign aid", needs to remember during The American Revolution, the nations of Europe were not rushing to aid the struggling colonists. France took the gamble.

The American colonist were going up against "the legitimate government of Britain" whose throne identified him as "the legal head of state" in the days of aristocratic succession.

Egyptian President Mursi was supported by "a court of religious aristocrats." Americans choose to forget a "democratic election can be rigged." And, democratic elections do not always come off without a hitch — remember The American Presidential Election Nightmare Of 2000 ?

American politicians and diplomats step back and give Egypt the benefit of the doubt.

Perhaps, someday America’s politicians will learn to trust their “Common Sense” and experience and worry less about their “legalistic wording of the moment.”

Technology has changed news reporting, so politicians need to learn to be more responsive to breaking news and worry less about 18th and 19th Century legal wording issues that may or may not impact American domestic or foreign policy.

The World changes. Technology is changing The World. One of America’s greatest strengths is the ablility to change or discard laws to fit the changing social issues of America society.

Could The American Revolutionary War be considered a Military Coup ? Why not ? We ousted a leader that we had no use for and we used our military to do it.

Life is about perspective.

Why do politicians and lawyers always seem to forget about perspective ?

American politicians and diplomats — Today is The Fourth Of July, 2013 — America’s Birthday — sit down, open up the history book and remember The Key To A Great Nation is "We The People."

Happy Birthday, America !

Terrorist Won United States Zero by Samuel E. Warren Jr.

Boston Bomber Plays

The Game Of Lawyers

Terrorist Won

United States Zero

by Samuel E. Warren Jr.

The reason Terrorist always “win” in violent actions against The Citizens Of The United States Of America is because the United States Government always goes “stupid.”

A bomb is an explosive device designed to mangle, maim, mutilate and murder. Terrorists use bombs because they know the Legal Systems Of The World are wimps. “

The Boston Bomber is the current example of a terrorist, who is “laughing” at the United States Government and the citizens.

He got arrested and is in jail getting “Three hots and a cot” until all the actors in the legal theater get their robes and memorize their lines.

The Administration made a major mistake in not classifying the scumbag an “Enemy Combatant.”

Instead of being treated as a ‘Terrorist”; he will be treated as a “Criminal.”

How many people have to die and how much property has to be destroyed before the United States Government and the other Nations Of The World realize terrorist are inhumane, sadistic scum, who deserve to be executed on the spot?

Global Legal Systems are designed to deal with criminals – not terrorists.

Terrorists are a special breed of cretin scum.

A bomb is an explosive device designed to mangle, maim, mutilate and murder. Terrorists use bombs because they know the Legal Systems Of The World are wimps.

The Democracies Of The World yank out their law books to “protect” the terrorists’ civil rights.

The Religious Nations Of The World yank out their holy books to “protect” the terrorists’ “martyrs”

Meanwhile, dead citizens are just dead citizens.

Governments don’t go after the terrorists for “violating citizens “civil rights to Life.”

Religions don’t rally their congregations to support Governments and try to track down terrorists’ for “violating citizens “civil rights to Life.”

Nations Of The World, Leaders Of The World and Citizens Of The World keep treating terrorists like “spoiled brats with chemistry sets.”

________________________

The Civilized Nations Of The World are “stupid” because a terrorist is a deadly organism like anthrax, small pox or e coli.

The Legal Systems Of The World do not deal with disease. Medical people deal with infectious diseases.

Terrorists are big bugs like cockroaches that need to be stepped on. Perhaps, complete extinction is an impossible task. However, if you don’t step on a cockroach now and then, eventually, they can overwhelm an area.

Terrorists’ Cockroaches are no different. When the world ignores the Terrorist Cockroaches they just continue to feed and breed in the shadows.

If the punishment ever becomes zero tolerance to the point that terrorists are caught and executed on the spot, then, the Message Of Swift, No Compromise Justice will set a precedent that the “Risk” is simply “too great” to be a terrorist.

Nations Of The World, Leaders Of The World and Citizens Of The World keep treating terrorists like “spoiled brats with chemistry sets.”

Killing Machines

A shark is a “killing machine” that moves through the oceans killing, feeding and reproducing. Vipers are “killing machines” that slither through the land killing, feeding and reproducing.

Humanity at large has policies, procedures and solutions for the extermination and eradication of sharks and vipers that jeopardize, threaten or attack humans.

Humanity at large keeps trying to ignore terrorists like they are some kind of myth that really does not exist

Terrorists are “killing machines” that kill, feed and unfortunately at times reproduce.

Marine biologists might shed a tear over a dead shark. Herpetologists might shed a tear over a dead snake. Only a fool sheds a tear for a dead terrorist.

Terminate Terrorists

You are strolling through the woods. You notice in the distance a snake slithers toward you.

The fool will take out his cell phone and try to call a game warden, the conservation department, animal control, the SPCA, Interpol, the Department Of Homeland Security, the FBI, or some other agency to deal with the obvious, imminent threat.

The smart farmer picks up a big rock, grips his chopping ax, grips his scythe or raises his double-barreled shotgun, squeezes both triggers and blows the snake to bits.

No questions.

No paperwork.

And, a great dead snake story to share with friends and family for generations to come.

Terrorists are not people.

Terrorists are not humans.

Terrorists, whether in groups, or the lone scumbag, are vipers that should be dealt with effectively and efficiently.

A few questions.

A little paperwork.

And, a great dead terrorist story to share with friends and family for generations to come.

________________________

Sharks and snakes

kill to feed.

Terrorists kill because

they can.”

________________________

Terrorists are deadly lifeforms, which should be executed on the spot with extreme prejudice like any threatening viper.

People Of The World need to “grow up” and see terrorists for the deadly, inhumane lifeforms that they are.

The Nations Of The World need to set aside their Modified Hammurabi Legal Systems For Criminals and develop a Zero Tolerance Terrorists’ Execution System.

A shark is always going to be a shark. A snake is always going to be a snake. A terrorist is always going to be a terrorist. Rehabilitation should not be even a consideration. Punishment should not even be a consideration.

The only consideration for a terrorist should be swift and immediate Execution.

A terrorist commits a violent act anywhere in the world, a global alert should go out. Citizens should be able to go to a local government agency and pay a small fee for a Terrorists’ Bounty Hunter License. Then, the citizens “go hunting.”

The citizen brings in the body, or what is left of it to the appropriate authority, and collect their bounty. The Old West Justice idea may sound extreme, but, when terrorists act as though they have “Nothing To Fear”; it is time to give them something “To Fear.”

Terrorists might be concerned about avoiding law enforcement; but, imagine if they have to believe a World Of Volunteer Bounty Hunters are gunning for them ?

Sharks and snakes kill to feed. Terrorists kill because “they can.”

Miranda Rights, in the United States, is to “protect” the accused suspect, “a possible criminal.”

Terrorists do not consider the civil rights of their intended victims because they have no regard for humanity.

Terrorists should never be considered a criminal because as brutal as a criminal maybe, usually, even the serial killers and mass murderers on “Death Row”, go on the record, to say they had a need to interact with the victims at some strange level of humanity.

Terrorists simply use explosive devices to vaporize their victims.

Blown Off

Bombing Lessons

The World Trade Center bombings in the 1990s should have been a “Wake Up Call” for America. Americans and the rest of the world hit the “Snooze Button.”

The Oklahoma City Bombings really should of woke up Americans and Citizens Of The World to the indifference of the terrorists and their insane brutality.

The World Trade Center Towers Massacre should have been the “Last Straw” for Global Humanity to actively and aggressively seek out international and domestic terrorists.

Global law enforcement agencies should of pulled out all the stops. At this point, the distinction should have been made that Terrorists are “killing machines” and not criminals.

Since terrorists are not criminals or suspected criminals; the World’s Justice Systems should not have to afford them protection or a trial for possible imprisonment.

The World Trace Center Twin Tower Terrorist were so insane they did not even “want something in return” they simply “wanted to die and take as many people with them as possible.”

Still, The Nations Of The World, The Citizens Of The World and The Leaders Of The World simply allow terrorists to slither around and swim around with no visible consequences other than the possibility of the world’s wimpy legal systems.

Terrorists have Nothing To Fear

If a terrorist gets caught; what does he or she have to Fear. Nothing. He or she might get put in jail with “three hots and a cot” to await trail.

He or she might get sent to prison for years of “three hots and a cot” to live out their lives to a ripe old age and receive “medical care” along the way.

A humane legal system might even free the “poor, suffering terrorist” to return to his native homeland to die among family, friends and fellow terrorists. Someone get me a handkerchief, I’m getting all misty-eyed.

France allowed the scumbag Terrorists’ Mastermind Of The Lockerbie Scotland Aircraft Bombing to return home to live out his “Last Days” among his fellow terrorists’ scumbags.

Terrorists really have “Nothing To Fear” from The Nations Of The World and their wimp legal systems.

Boston Bomber Boo Hoo Time

The Boston Bomber can kick back in his cell and relax because he is in “The System” to play “The Game Of Lawyers.”

It is “Wha-Wha Time”, which means everyone on the planet get to pull out their hankies and get ready to learn about the “poor, ittle, bittle, little terrorist who had a hard life.”

Everyone has a hard Life – that is why we call it Life.

The Boston Bomber Terrorist Scumbag is no different than any other terrorists’ scumbag. He built a bomb to destroy massive amounts of people and property.

The Boston Bomber’s gender, age, religion, hardships in Life – None of it matters.

He is inhuman scum who choose to become a deadly lifeform of mass destruction.

Global justice for the Boston Bomber and all terrorists is simple immediate execution by the most painful means possible.

Squeeze the trigger in the direction of the terrorist and take your time or forget to make the 9-1-1 call and walk away to let the terrorist die slowly and painfully.

Of course, with a bullet in each arm and each leg, it is highly unlikely that the terrorist would be able to crawl away to safety or find medical help, trying to move on his or her belly out of an alley.

Hours later if the terrorist’s dead carcass is still in the alley, drop it in a dumpster and call the garbage trucks to dump the terrorists’ cadaver with the rest of the filth of humanity in the city landfill.

Unfortunately, the Boston Bomber is now in The Game Of Lawyers. Taxpayers will “waste” thousands of dollars to prove a scumbag is a scumbag.

The money “wasted” could be used to help with the medical expenses of victims.

The money to be “wasted” on the Boston Bomber and all terrorists should be as cheap as “the price of one bullet”.

Blow Away Bombers

A creative end for the Boston Bomber and future terrorists would be to take them to a weapons detonation range and place unexploded ordnance in front of them and detonate the device – poetic justice – to allow the terrorist to experience “vaporization.”

The Boston Bomber is in the US Legal System, which means some people have already pulled out their Holy Bibles and Christian hymnals open to “Onward Christian Soldier” and the Boston Bomber will get to relax.

As time passes “The Ole Turn The Other Cheek”, “Redemption,” “Salvation” silliness will settle in the minds of jurors and they will look into his youthful “ittle, wittle puppy dog eyes” and will give him “the benefit of the doubt.”

Even if the jury gives him “The Death Penalty”, then, the “legal horse trading” will start with appeals and stays of execution and the terrorist scumbag may outlive most of his victims.

The World’s Global Legal Systems need to quit identifying terrorists as criminals.

The World’s Global Legal Systems need to identify terrorists as deadly lifeforms of mass destruction – a shark, viper or rabid dog gets “put down”; therefore, terrorists should get “put down.”

The World’s Global Law Enforcement Officers are trained in the apprehension of criminal suspects.

The World’s Global Law Enforcement Officers should be trained that a terrorist is simply a “rabid dog to be put down.”

If a law enforcement official in Boston had looked through the scope or over the site of his or her weapon and squeezed the trigger; there would be one less rabid dog in the world.

Taxpayers could “spend” money to help victims and “heal” the city’s infrastructure.

What is it going to take for Citizens Of The World to press their Governments for a Zero Policy Of Tolerance For Terrorists and a Policy Of On The Spot Execution For Terrorists ?

What are the Citizens Of The World waiting for to round up terrorists ?

Are Global Citizens waiting for a terrorist to detonate a bomb at China’s Imperial Palace ?

Are Global Citizens waiting for a terrorist to detonate “a dirty bomb” at Buckingham Palace ?

Are Global Citizens waiting for a terrorist to detonate a homemade “fertilizer bomb” at the US Capitol Building ?

Perhaps, Global Citizens are waiting for a terrorist to detonate a dirty , homemade nuclear device in the Dome Of The Rock ?

The Boston Bomber is the terrorist in the headlines.

International and domestic terrorists will continue to capture headlines as long as Nations Of The World shrug them off like “spoiled brats with chemistry sets.”

Terrorists will continue to see the World At Large as A Shooting Gallery Of Sheep To Slaughter For Fun because The Nations Of The World use wimp legal systems to deal with insane creatures of mass destruction.

Terrorist Win.

The World Loses.

No house, hut or outhouse on planet earth should ever be safe for a terrorist to hide out in.”

________________________

Epilogue To The Nations Of The World

If the Nations Of The World continue to shrug off terrorists like spoiled brats with chemistry sets, then, the terrorist really have “Nothing To Fear” from the world’s wimp legal systems.

No house, hut or outhouse on planet earth should ever be safe for a terrorist to hide out in. Everyone on the planet, needs to realize a terrorist is a “killing machine” that destroys people and property for their own sadistic view of fun.

Continue to treat terrorists humanely and all The Nations Of The World will have to begin setting aside major portions of their domestic budgets for the quarterly purchase of Body Bags.

The Most Sacred Day Of Your Life

Your Birthday

ELSON 15TH BIRTHDAY PORTRAIT_imageC009A_resized

Elson Tanhale celebrated his 15th Birthday, Saturday, April 6, 2013. Your Birthday should always be a special day that you celebrate. Photo by Samuel E. Warren Jr.

by Samuel E. Warren Jr.

Your Birthday is the most unique and special day of all.

Before you were born, no one ever celebrated “Your Birthday.”

Once you die, it is doubtful, anyone will celebrate, observe, commemorate, or even honor “Your Birthday.”

Once you have died, family, friends and relatives,in time, will forget “Your Birthday.”

I, Samuel E. Warren Jr., am the Self-Appointed and Self-Anointed “Your Birthday Prophet” Of Planet Earth. My calling is to remind you to never “blow off” or “ignore” Your Birthday

The Citizens Of The World love holidays. Holidays are a legitimate excuse to party.

Saturnalia

Christmas is One Of The World’s Oldest Holidays.

It is a Lie to say Christmas celebrates The Birth Of Jesus Christ; it does not. Christmas is an ancient winter celebration.

The Christmas holiday originally honored The First God Of Rome Saturn, who ruled generation, plenty, wealth, agriculture, endings, new beginnings and liberation.

The Roman Saturnalia Feast ran from December 17 through December 23.

Early Christians simply “stole” the holiday and “hijacked” it to December 25.

Christmas has always been celebrated and will probably always be celebrated because winter is a cold, dank, dark, dismal, depressing time at the end of the year.

People from antiquity to the present need to reassure themselves winter will end and a new year will begin with promise and warmth.

Christmas, the winter holiday, serves the logical purpose based on centuries of tradition and historical survival of the human race.

Christmas is simply The Global Holiday That Confirms Human Life Will Survive Winter’s Death Of Cold And Ice To Feel The Warmth Of Spring And The Continuance Of Life.

Civil Rights’ Leader’s Birthday

The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday became a legal Federal United States holiday to celebrate the birthday of the American Civil Rights Leader and Baptist preacher.

I was a boy, when the reverend was going around the United States making his speeches and preaching sermons that made people nervous and uncomfortable.

April 4, 1968 – Opal M. DeLong Warren, my mother, had got in the old white 1962 Chevrolet stepside pickup to go up the road and visit Grandma DeLong and Uncle Richard. I had decided to stay home and do homework in front of the TV.

April 4, 1968 – A few minutes after Momma left the familiar CBS News black and white eye logo filled the TV screen and I looked at the words, “Special Bulletin.” I do not recall, the actual words, but the report stated that the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., had been shot.

America as a nation seemed to fight The US Civil Rights Movement “tooth and nail” every step of the way. Even as a young boy, I knew if the Reverend King died from an assassin’s bullet. “All Hell Would Break Loose.” I was right.

Five days of race riots broke out in Washington D.C. The evening news reported riots in other American cities like Chicago and Baltimore for several days after King’s assassination.

King, a Baptist preacher, had made some powerful enemies. He was assassinated. Riots destroyed American businesses, homes and people died in the social change process that would move America beyond the policy of segregation

The irony is in 2013, people get the legal holiday of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday “off from work” and few, if any, stop to consider the meaning of the legalized birthday holiday.

General Washington’s Birthday

When I was a little boy General George Washington’s Birthday on February 22 was a legal Federal United States holiday.

When I was a little boy Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday on February 12 was a legal Federal holiday.

Americans got two legal Federal “days off from work with pay” in the short month of February.

The Lame

President’s Day

Birthdays

American leaders in the 1970s decided it would be better to “prostitute all the presidents’ birthdays together” and celebrate one holiday for all of them called “President’s Day.”

Thus, Americans could honor a creative, revolutionary Renaissance Man like General George Washington, but the day got diluted with the inclusion of Loser Lincoln the political patsy and pawn of The American Civil War.

Even President Herbert Hoover, the portly president could be honored on “President’s Day.” Hoover’s presidential incompetence during The Great Depression may always be debated by historians.

Portly, Porky President Herbert Hoover is on the public record, of giving “The Order” to the use of United States Armed Forces against World War I military veterans.

Republican Herbert Hoover gave “The Order” to use “military force against his own citizens,” which kicks him to the historical curb next to Dictators Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, Emperor Hirohito, Saddam Hussein.

Why would any American want to celebrate “President’s Day” when one of the historical honorees is a incompetent politician who “authorized” the use of military force to “put down” or “kill off citizens’ who made the leader uncomfortable?

I always took “the work day off”, but Republican Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan are the only Republican presidents that I respect and acknowledge their birthdays.

Most of America’s Republican presidents I view as “Crooks”.

I cuss and curse American Republican Presidents, but I will never “celebrate, observe or honor the dismal days they took their first breath of air.”

The bad thing about America’s “Presidents’ Day” is it lumps American Democrat Presidents’ birthdays together with the birthdays of the Republican “Crooks”.

Thus, Your Birthday in the future could easily get dumped into a national observance of some of “the biggest crooks that ever lived” if you ever get elected to The White House.

There are 365 days in a year. The number of days in a leap year is 366. As time goes by and more people get elected to the Office Of President Of The United States Of America, each person will have their own birthday.

Already more than 40 people have served as president of the United States and the number approaches 50; which means at some point if every presidential birthday was a “legal holiday”, then, the time would come when people could legally take off 365 to 366 days and the result is no one would work for a year.

American Presidents are controversial in their Administrations and often the place they earn in history.

I believe Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday should always be celebrated as “National Fool’s Day”, instead of “April Fools Day” on April 1.

Lincoln, the dumb old country boy became America’s Political Patsy and the ultimate “Sacrificial Scape Goat.”

Lincoln was more a political puppet of his political party and the business people, who made fortunes in the American Civil War.

I believe President Herbert Hoover’s Birthday should always celebrate National Toilet Tissue Month.

As chief executive of the United States, Herbert Hoover was “full of it.” The American economy collapsed and sucked other nations into the global economic sinkhole.

Naturally in retirement, Hoover and supporters claimed he had all these great ideas to “Stop” or “Slow” The Great Depression.

However, On the job, in The Oval Office, Hoover, the self-made millionaire sat on his portly rump and watched his nation “Go Broke.”

Hoover’s Administration, like toilet tissue served a purpose. Once used – toilet tissue becomes “waste.” The Hoover Administration was “waste”; it allowed citizens to suffer, lose their livelihoods, homes and businesses, while an incompetent politician sat on his rump, rather than take aggressive action and do what was needed to stop or slow The Great Depression.

Hoover had no problem giving “The Order” to use the military force of The United States Armed Forces against World War I veterans exercising Freedom Of Speech and Freedom Of Assembly; thus, he would not of lost sleep violating The Constitution Of The United States Of America to save the economy. The fact that he did not take aggressive action suggests Hoover was either a fool or had no ideas.

Since an American President can be such a controversial celebrity in their lifetime; Congress rather than trying to choose the birthdays of Great American Presidents to be celebrated simply decided to dump the trash in with the gold and create “President’s Day” – a really lame Federal holiday.

If you are a politician, then, people in your lifetime and after your death, may choose not to celebrate Your Birthday.

Your Birthday might even become a paid Federal holiday that people “take off” and never even consider, who you were or what you did.

In the present, You should always celebrate Your Birthday because everyone only gets so many birthdays, which serve as the recognized anniversary of your birth.

You can celebrate your birthday with a single candle on a cupcake.

You might be able to arrange a monumental news making celebration that has television networks on scene and people streaming the celebration to facebook, twitter, You Tube and writing about Your Birthday festivities in their blogs.

Regardless, of how you decide to celebrate or observe Your Birthday – you should always celebrate Your Birthday.

Once you die people may forget Your Birthday, worse yet they may prostitute it by combining it with a legendary collection of global fools, freaks and clowns, who should be “forgotten” and not honored.

The Most Special Holiday Of Your Life

In your lifetime, Your Birthday should be The Most Special Holiday Of Your Life because it represents the anniversary of your birth and recognizes that each passing year is bringing progressive change into your Life.

Whenever possible, legally take Your Birthday “off from work” to observe your special day.

No one really wants to work on their birthday. The day you were born, you were moving your arms, hands, legs, feet and trying to experience the new sensation of Life; you were not worried about your contribution to The Global Workforce Of Humanity.

Wherever you are in the world, you should always celebrate Your Birthday.

Different nations and cultures have different ways to celebrate Your Birthday. Whenever feasible celebrate Your Birthday your way because it is your day.

Why was I born on this particular day ?

A person’s birthday is always the most underrated day of their Life because no one really stops to consider: “Why was I born on this particular day ?”

There are 365 to 366 days in a year. Obviously, the intimate relationship between your mother and father led to your creation, but that is not Your Birthday because sometimes an infant is born early.

Sometimes an infant is born late.

Sometimes medical professionals from midwives to surgeons are required to bring you into The Real World to begin Your Birthday.

No birth is ever an “accident.”

The situations surrounding your birth might be unique, out of the ordinary, unusual or appear to be “unexpected” (which is a kind of silly word to use for a pregnancy, since a pregnant woman is almost always noticeably “with child”,i.e.. pregnant.).

The day of your birth is NOT coincidental, happenstance, chance, dumb luck, or a gamble of the flow of time, nature and biology all coming together at a precise time.

Every birth is monumental.

Every birth is unprecedented.

Every birth is legendary.

Every birth is unique because there is only one of you.

Even a clone is not a precise replica of a lifeform.

The Immortality Of A Birthday

Once you die, The Universe does seem to “Remember Your Birthday” because an event of your lifetime will come to light within a few days of Your Birthday.

The Birthday Fact tends to be noticeable in the Lives Of Famous People, who have died, but, if you will pay attention to the birthday of a Loved One in your family who has died; you should notice within a week to three days before their birthday, usually, an event or situation will happen that will tend to provide information about the person’s Life.

If you want to experiment with The Birthday Immortality Experiment, go online and look up Elvis Presley’s Birthday, then, research news releases and the information that came to Life, after his Death, near or on his birthday.

Granted, in the case of celebrities, family, friends, fans and publicists can time the release of information to coincide with a birthday.

Look at the event and the information that became public knowledge.

The revelation of information, an item, or an event around the time of a birthday is not always positive. Usually family, friends, fans and publicists release positive information;

Fate, The Universe, An Intelligent Universal Entity, or the progress of Time does not seem to judge Positive or Negative – the event just reveals the information, item or event and let’s people decide the classification.

Besides The Birthday Of Elvis Presley, research the birthdays of other famous people, who have died, and notice the revelations about their Lives that came to light, near or on their birthday. Then, you may wish to research the information within your own family. (Perhaps, at long last the family will finally discover Great Aunt Tillie’s Long Lost Jewels.)

Family and friends might “forget” Your Birthday.

You should never “forget” or “blow off” Your Birthday.

Your Birthday is Your Immortal Eternal Torch That Burns Unmolested Throughout The Night Of Humanity.

Enjoy Your Birthday !

There is only one of you alive at any given point in history, the present, or the future of The Universe – You are Unique.

Your Birthday is the Immortal Point Of Origin Of Your Existence In The Real World.

Always honor, observe and celebrate Your Birthday.

Try to make sure Your Birthday will not be “prostituted” after your death.

Be selective in your choice of friends that you choose to share your birthday with.

Christmas and all the holy days converted into holidays will probably always be observed and celebrated because human nature is always looking for a reason to party.

In your lifetime, there should be events and even “public” holidays that will hold a special meaning or purpose to you.

Enjoy your Life; observe, celebrate and honor those special days.

However, keep one day sacred and special in your mind and heart – Your Birthday

Enjoy Your Birthday !

Your Birthday should always be The Most Revered And Special Day Of Your Life.

Let me be among the first, from my place in time and space, on Your Birthday to wish you:

Happy Birthday !

Sam
